the connector that is attached to the wall usually has a tap on it....

if it hasnt, you may need to get a plumber.New washer is cold fill old is hot and cold. I cant find any valves to shut off the pipe what should i do?
I would try to trace the pipes back to their origin in the house. The shutoff valves could be anywhere in between. You know the hot water pipe starts at the water heater so for the hot water shutoff look there first. I've seen shutoff valves in strange places including the garage because the hot water heater was nearby (piping to the house was underground). Also, if the wall containing the feed pipes for your washer is part of an (room) add on to the house look on the other side of that wall because the shutoff valve as a matter of necessity might serve more than one outlet (i.e. kitchen, bathroom). If the wall is an outside wall look for an enclosure/panel on that outside wall. It won't be very big, maybe one foot square and it might not be visible due to vegetation/shrubs. If you find one most likely you will find shutoff valves for both the hot and cold water together. Failing that you will need a plumber to install a valve. And if you need to do that save yourself from future agony by having valves installed on both pipes at the same time.
There must be a shut off valve for the hot water pipe or how did they connect the original washing machine. However, if there really isn't then you need to blank it off OR you can buy an online tap. You can bolt this on to the pipe at any point and as you tighten it up it forms a seal. You can then turn it off and on as you wish. Using found in a B %26amp; Q warehouse or a plumbers centre. Good luck
you can buy a compression fitting that has a blank on the end to seal off the hot pipe.

But it's probably going to be better to fit proper hot and cold washer taps at this point.

Turn off the water at the mains stop-tap.

Drain the hot water storage tank, turn off combi boilers or whatever you have to do to stop the hot water from comming out of the pipe when the washer is disconnected.

Cut the old connectors off and replace with washer taps with a compression fitting.
